Windows Of Jordan

To fellow travelers I wish to pass on to you in my own words my recent experience with having contacted Sami at Windows Of Jordan to assist me in a less than 24 hours notice of a 6 day/night window to visit Jordan (via entrance and exit from Israel). Sami replied to my email inquiry about assistance in setting up an itinerary for my last minute sojourn into Jordan, in less than 10 minutes! I immediately called him and in 10 minutes he gave me guidance in how to best clarify what it was I was wanting to see and how to best prepare for the trip. In 90 minutes I had an itinerary and with one adjustment ( I had been to the Dead Sea previously and wanted to spend a night on the desert in Wadi Rum instead) the details and costs, personal driver and details of border crossings and costs, etc were ALL presented to me from Sami! I had never experienced such detailed and up front preparation from any travel service like I did with Sami! Because I was traveling into a completely foreign country and had my own personal apprehensions, Sami put it all to rest, literally! Aboe’ (my wonderful driver for the 6 days) met me at the border and within minutes we were chatting like old friends (his English was excellent as my Arabic was simply zilch!). For the next 6 days/nights I was in the hands (on the steering wheel) and guidance of Aboe’ throughout the incredible diverse culture, people and history of Jordan. 6 days flowed by and when it was time to shake hands and share a sincere hug to a new and dear friend I felt a sense of gratitude to Sami for the detailed preparation of incredible hotels, sites that were added to my short list to fill out my 6 days, restaurants and food choices, assistance with getting personal guides scheduled when needed (definitely at Petra-the guide Aboe’ scheduled for me was incredible!), allowing a true no pressure presence when I would spend hours at some sites and minutes at others! Flexible, spontaneous and professional! And a fun factor beyond measure. My heartfelt thanks to you Sami and Aboe, for making this experience into the land of Jordan something so much more than a vacation, it was a sojourn of new friends and an appreciation of a culture I knew nothing about. And now, I feel I have been given a reminder of how amazing people are and the gift of travel is to give life to the world I live in beyond a tv channel (ex: National Geo or Discovery). Windows of Jordan gave life to the world I live in and by taking care of all the details I had NO clue about in a culture and country truly foreign to me, allowed me to be fully immersed in each day with NO worries of where to stay, what to eat and how to get there. They took care of all of it so I could enjoy the land of Jordan and the priceless treasures of its people, history, food and let it come alive for me! Happy Trails! MARTIN says: I was very happy with both Rebhy & Wasfi, they were cheerful, communicative and helpful. The hotels you selected were good - in Aqaba, most of the seafront is private - this is a pity - we had quite a long walk to the public beach ! If I have any criticisms, they are..... 1. The bazaars are not something I am really interested in - they are overpriced because the tourists are 'captive' - we visited 3 in total - 1 would have been enough. I prefer to shop where the locals buy things - like the souk in Amman 2. The whole trip was more expensive than I anticipated - of course we were only 2 people, if we had been 6 - it would have been better value. 3. Jordan is generally too expensive and it damages the tourism economy - to chage 75 EURO per person to enter Petra is ridiculous Say thank you to the guys from me... Martin MONICA says: Hi Sami, Thank you for organising transport & accommodation for us. Your choice of hotels was excellent- very good breakfast with a variety of pastries. In Aqaba and at the Dead Sea I had pancakes for breakfast - it was heaven! In these 2 hotels I also appreciated the fresh flowers ( not plastic!) in the lobby and also very helpful staff. Petra is indeed an amazing place, also Wadi Rum. Here I would have liked to see more of the Beduin culture and the way Beduins live, for example some cooking or weaving or a real Beduin village. The water in the Dead Sea has a horrible taste- I tasted it to see how salty it is. But good for the skin indeed. I had a swim with all my clothes on, because all the other ladies were fully dressed, and I would have felt very unconfortable in a swimming suit. After the days spent in the south, it was good to see Aman with its vibrant atmosphere,history, the local market & cuisine. We tried the traditional sweet ( I have forgotten the name but Rebhy knows it) and Rebhy brought some to our hotel for us to take home. We also tried the shaorma - delicious! I liked the fact that people were friendly, welcoming & kindhearted, but I disliked the agressivity in some turistic places like Petra. I am interested in deeper understanding of the way of life and culture, so it was great to talk to some locals and get the feel of the place. Both Rebhy and Wasfi were punctual, polite and helpful. Jordan is unique in that it has so many amazing sights within a relatively short distance from each other. Amman, Madaba, Petra, Wadi Rum, Dead Sea, Jerash and more…all within a few hours of driving or less. On my latest trip to Jordan, I managed to visit a handful of these locations within the short period of time that I had. And because of the short distances, I didn’t feel rushed and I was able to enjoy each destination thoroughly. What also helped was that I used the reliable transportation service offered by Windows of Jordan, which I happened to find randomly during a google search, to help me get around. For two people, the price of private transportation in Jordan is well worth it. While the bus will be cheaper, the car allowed us to stop whenever and wherever we wanted during our journeys. And that’s worth a few extra bucks for sure. We were picked up at the airport by Ahmed and he took good care of us from that point on. The car was clean and spacious, he was very friendly and helpful and he pretty much took us everywhere we wanted to visit en route to Petra. He didn’t care how long we stayed at each sight or how long the day was going to be and it didn’t affect the price either. Windows of Jordan offers transfer services all over Jordan ,They also offer more complete tours of the country and they can book accommodation and arrange anything else you might need too. Just send them an email with details about what you’re interested in doing and they’ll get back to you quickly with some great options. The prices, again, while more expensive than taking local transportation in Jordan of course, are still very reasonable, especially if you’re traveling with 2 or more people. It also makes for a more relaxing experience and you get to interact right away with an interesting local Jordanian who is ready to talk about any aspect of their home country. I am very happy that I found this company as it really made a difference with my trip, ensuring that our short visit to Jordan was as rewarding as possible!

We went with Windows of Jordan on three occasions over a month's period. They picked us up on arrival at the airport and took us to our apartment in Amman. The driver was very friendly and chatted with us about life in Jordan on the way in, taught us a few phrases and recommended some restaurants. We also employed them for a day trip to the Dead Sea. Originally we wanted to go to Amman Beach, they offered us a deal to a resort called Ramada with lunch included. There was a private beach with shower and a pool area with bar, and the food was very good. The driver was all calmness and smiles and waited for us in the lobby with his book. Finally they took us to the airport on our departure. Again the driver was friendly and shared insight with us. The cars are nice, clean and spacious. I'm sure it's possible to negotiate cheaper fares, in which case good luck with the taxi drivers. They are punctual, cordial, comfortable, and they don't drive like maniacs. This is a very stressless and trustworthy way to get around. Highly recommended.

Sami Thank you so much for making our dream trip a success. We all truly appreciate your efforts to go above and beyond with the early morning pick ups to the late evening drop offs and especially patience for our desires to detour off schedule. We could not have unlocked the spirit of the Jordanian culture, Bedouin lifestyle, or the history of Petra and Wadi rum without your thorough explanations. Your sincere passion for history enlightened our minds and opened our eyes to the natural beauties of this Earth and God's blessings. Thanks to you, this experience has changed all of our lives and we will cherish the experience for a lifetime. I am glad to have rented a car from Windows of Jordan. I was given a 2015 Ford Focus --- no smoke smell in the car and everything is in very good conditions. The things I like the most is they delivered "on time" free of charge to hotels I am staying. They help to filled up the gas thank --- this really help. As I can go straight to Petra immediately. Also on my way back, due to communication problem of that sort, I end up paying more for the gas then they did . Best of all, they are very understanding. They gave me 4 extra hours to return the car so that I don't have to wake up at 5am to drive the car back. Sami is extremely helpful with prompted response. If I happened to visit Jordan again, I will definitely rent from them again. Visited April 2016

This trip has been incredible! Made ALL the more enjoyable by the excellent itinerary your set up for me. Incredible, truly beyond words. Sami was our contact by email and was very prompt to reply to email. Once the trip was agreed Ala shared the whatsapp number and we could easily communicate through whatsapp. Ammar was our driver and he was friendly, punctual; I am naturally anxious on the road and with Ammar driving I felt very comfortable. Ammar took us to Aljoun and Jerash with a pick up in Amman hotel and drop off un Madaba. The following day Ammar took us to Petra doing various stops on the day. Two days later, Ammar pick us up in Petra and took us to the dead sea then the Baptism site and finally drop off in Amman. Very pleased with it. Visited January 2017

'We travelled to Jordan as a group of women to watch our daughters play in the U17 Womens Football World Cup for New Zealand and then we went into Jerusalem and Palestine - every step of the way Sami organised our group and was amazing. So well in fact that in the end Sami organised travel for all the parents who had travelLed to support our girls. Nothing was a problem and any issues that arose were sorted so quickly and effortlessly by him. We owe him a debt of gratitude for making our trip so so enjoyable and for making us fall in love with the country he is so proud of.'

I used Windows of Jordan three times over the last week during my trip to Jordan. The car was new and clean and the drivers on time, polite and English speaking. I communicated with the owner, Sami, via email and he always responded promptly. Our driver Hachem which we had for two of the three days always went out of his way to show us things and was a pleasure to be around. My husband and I were really pleased with the service. They drove us from Amman to Petra to Aqaba and then all the way back up to Jerash. Highly recommend. Visited September 2016

In the middle of a high season in Deadsea, i got stuck and i desperately needed an urgent transport back to Amman, I failed to find one there or they've asked for astronomical figures.. up to 100 JD... but when found localtrips online and called them.. they immdediatly fix the problem with an honest and straight forward service, unlike all the alternatives... they didn't try to get advantage of my situation... really professional drivers, and comfortable modern cars and above all... fair price :) Visited September 2016

I read the reviews before booking with them and I was not disappointed. There were easily reachable by mail and they were very responsive on whats app. The cars came on time, the drivers were super friendly and the prices were good. Thanks Sami so much for being so supportive and responsive. You made our stay unforgettable! If anyone needs a reliable transportation in Jordan, you have to book with these guys. I have travelled quite a bit and never have I come across a company that is so flexible, helpful and just absolutely fantastic. I found the company a day before I arrived in Jordan and they had everything arranged including fast track visa - we couldn't believe how efficient and excellent it was. Abou our driver was a pleasure to travel with and we have even added him on facebook!! Well done Sami and Abou - we look forward to seeing you again!!

I compared prices for all of the trips and things we wanted to do in Jordan. Unless you are looking to go super cheap with public transportation - just save yourself the trouble and go with Local-trips. Awesome service - they took care of our visa and we breezed right through customs - at half the normal cost. The cars were clean and safe and everything was on perfect time. Visited April 2016

Our trip to the south of Jordan, Wadi Rum and Petra was one of the most interesting trips i ever had. The knowledge of Sami who shared with us his love and passion to his country, most of all the discussions we had will always be with me. It is so good to know that there is a professional one on the other side of the line, when we send our friends and clients to Jordan.

Excellent day out, driver arrived at promised time and allowed us as much time as we wanted at each location. It was a much better way to do it than taking a very expensive trip from the hotel. It is good that you can also organise it with from the UK, rather than waiting until you get to Jordan. Recommend without hesitation. Visited April 2016

The knowledge and places I saw in Jordan were world changing! I tip my hat off to Sami Salman Twal. The history scene...incredible! And Sami is like opening a history book. Just life changing.
